Have we been bought out?

No. The Richmond Times-Dispatch is still owned by Media General, as are we. Over the years, our website has grown to include things you can’t find in the printed version of the paper, like video, audio, and interactivity. We also present a lot of online-only feature stories and searchable directories. Because we are not just “the paper online” anymore, we have started promoting ourselves as what we are…a web destination bringing the best community, entertainment, and news information to the Richmond area.

We still have all of the Richmond Times-Dispatch news content we had before, but we aren’t limited to the constraints of a newspaper. For those who just want to read the paper online, we offer it in its original format. Click on the RTD link above and then click on the front page.

inRich.com strives to be more of a community information site, with a larger focus on entertainment and interactivity. News is just a portion of that.

However, we have established a section of the site dedicated to just the Richmond Times-Dispatch news. Feel free to bookmark that page and use that as your entry page into the site, so you always have the news in one place.

We also now offer you the opportunity to read the actual paper online in the exact layout of the print version. Click on the front page of the paper on the Richmond Times-Dispatch page within inRich: http://www.inrich.com/cva/ric/times_dispatch.html

What is this inRich thing, anyway?

inRich.com brings Richmond the best in entertainment, community, and breaking news from several sources!

But what does that mean? It means we’re more than a news site…we’re a destination.

Yes, we get a lot of content from The Richmond Times-Dispatch, but we also present content from local community papers and weekly publications. There is also a greater focus on online-only content, including features such as Multi-media Presentations.

Another feature we’re very proud of is OnDemand, which allows you to subscribe to RSS Feeds to get content delivered to your blog reader, and sign up for e-newsletters.
